We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Suzanne and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by nature and by animals. I love the simplicity of the way the natural world works and how the animal kingdom lives in harmony with nature. I love each season and all that it brings. Everything has a place and a purpose, nothing is wasted. Living in Arizona affords me the opportunity to experience all different types of animals and everything from the red rocks to pine trees and blue skies. I believe that the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets can be found in the desert. So much beauty exists in this land, it almost doesn’t look real, but it is! There is so much wildlife everywhere I look. I feel that each animal carries a message. I pay attention to which animals are showing up the most for me.

I have cats who are like family to me. They make me want to be a better person each day. They possess so much innate wisdom and have the ability to heal.

Last but not least, I am an avid dream enthusiast. I have kept a dream journal for most of my life and look to my dreams for inspiration and guidance.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
There is no roadmap for what I do, I have had to make it up as I go along. My books are self published and can be found on my website or on Amazon. I have gone back to the drawing board many times and each time I will emerge stronger and with more clarity.

Trust in yourself, following your intuition and paying close attention to the synchronicity around you and where your energy leads you. If you do this, you will go far in life both personally and professionally.

What I am most proud of is being the best cat mama this side of the Mississippi. I may not be able to save them all, however, the cats I rescue are so loved and cared for. They are my “why”, making a bad day good and a good day better.

In a nutshell, I practice Reiki, help others assign meaning to the most complex or puzzling of dreams, talk to the animals and help pet owners with better understanding their pets. I have had some luck with lost and missing pets and seem to do best with restoring harmony within the home and holding sacred space for those who are grieving the loss of a beloved fur baby. Most of the people who seek my pet services are preparing to say goodbye, or have just helped their pet cross the Rainbow Bridge. “Am I doing/ did I do the right thing?” is the question that haunts many and I am here to ease those tormented feeling of doubt or guilt.

What sets me apart from others is that I am not here to be anyone’s guru. I do not have all the answers. No one does. Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for life. That is really the essence of what I do is teaching people to fish. I am all about empowering others to lean into their own personal power and trust their intuition.

I am available for in person sessions at Spa of Sedona and Poco Diablo and also available for phone and Zoom sessions.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My best friend actually is visiting soon and we are going to do some shopping, probably uptown and Tlaquepaque. , Crystal Magic is a favorite. Next on the list is to visit the Amitaba Stupa and Peace Park, Airport vortex, and Angel Valley. Time and weather permitting, we will also get some hiking in and visit Oak Creek. So many great restaurants to choose from. Vino de Sedona and Javelina Cantina seem to be the favorites with guests.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shout out to my dream group on Facebook, “Dream Enthusiasts”. I have been the admin of this group for six years and it has grown to over 800 international members. I met quite a few of them at the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD) conference in Scottsdale in 2018 and it took off from there. There are many gifted folks in this group. We have several authors, scientists, doctors, professors, and artists in our tribe. I love this group because I learn as I teach and have forged meaningful friendships.

I would also like to give a shout out to the Illuminate Film Festival and Sedona International Film Festival. Forever a film buff, I am a member of each and eagerly attend both events each year. Mary D. Fisher, Alice Gill-Sheldon, and Harkins theaters are all great places to view independent films! You will spot me there often.
