We had the good fortune of connecting with Lea Diamond and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lea, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have owned my own aesthetics medical business selling to medical practicers, plastic surgeons, dermatologists, injectors and aestheticians for a few years and have a passion for aesthetics and everything scientifically new and cutting edge.

One of my laser companies has a few unique devices — one in particular, Sentient Sculpt which is the best non invasive body contouring device — getting to 80% of fat cells (most other devices reach 30%) and more importantly the reduction of cellulite. This device features a new energy source and has the power we haven’t seen before in the US for body contouring medical devices.

90% of women and 10% of men suffer from cellulite and there isn’t much on the market to reduce it that actually really works without being painful, having downtime or a lot of side effects.

I decided to put “put my money where my mouth was” and purchase the device for myself and open The Cellulite RX in downtown Scottsdale with another location in North Scottsdale.

What should our readers know about your business?
Having your own business takes a lot of guts and risk taking but it also can be really rewarding.

If you have a passion for what you do – that passion shines thru and people want to be on board with that.

I made a niche for myself as an independent sales rep — selling what I wanted to sell and when I wanted to sell it. I am known for having new technology and being ahead of the curve.

As a woman myself, I realize how insecure and hard on ourselves we can be sometimes. Or society’s view that we should always look our best when we are juggle so many things.

Most women today (and men) barely have times for themselves and are the last to spend money on themselves. It’s important to treat yourself and do things that make you feel attractive and healthy.

The Cellulite Rx wants to help people look and feel their best — and it’s not just for beautiful people — it’s for the real people who struggle with weight loss, have loose skin from pregnancy, need a jumpstart to their new diet and exercise regime or never thought they could do anything easy and affordable for cellulite they are embarrassed by.

This is for real people, all grades of cellulite and can help reduce fat anywhere on the body.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Originally from Boston, I have hosted many family and friends in Phoenix and I love there is always something new and emerging to experience.

Az88 in Scottsdale is one of my favorite places to have lunch or cocktails (if you can leave standing after the famous martinis).

In Phoenix, the Rokerji is one of my favorite cellar restaurant to have stumbled upon.

I’m not super outdoorsy but I love the fact you can hike Camelback Mtn. In the middle of a city and the views are incredible.

My friends always joke that Phoenix seems to have “alien vibes” and there is some truth to the mysterious energy here. Hitting up a south bath or moon yoga rooftop or Vision Quest Metaphyisical Bookstore is so fun.

Montelucia Resort is my favorite resort to lay by the pool and relax in a gorgeous atmosphere.

I love late night shenanigans and I’m more of a dive bar type of girl — a fun night with a DJ at Lil Woodies is always a fun place to end up.
