We had the good fortune of connecting with Letitia Frye and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Letitia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Personally, I have never truly fit in to any traditional mold or box. When I was 27, after a few entrepreneurial adventures, I tried to do the 9 to 5, but soon learned it is just not for me. I have always wanted to work for myself, and as scary and rewarding as it can be, it was not so much a thought process, but a calling.

What should our readers know about your business?
Many people know me as America’s Foremost Auctiontainer, a title my friend and client Alice Cooper came up with after watching me warm up at rehearsal one night. It is now a mainstream term, and a form of auctioneering that is being taught. It is a combination of classic auctioneer training with theatrical training in stage presence, public speaking and going through a performance without notes or cue cards to entertain an audience. I have successfully navigated this space for over 16 years, but have evolved far beyond auctiontainer. Last year my book, No Reserve, was published and released by Sound Wisdom publishers. It has been a wildly acclaimed book ad continues to gain traction every day on all major retail outlets. The book is also available in audio and due to Covid, and the fact that my book is a road map through adversity and upheaval into the life of your dreams, sales are up and people are truly finding the methods outlined in the book helpful as they pull their lives back together, and come out even better than before. Subsequently, I now speak frequently as a motivational speaker on the content of my book, No Reserve. It has been quite a ride and continues to grow and amaze me every day.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
OK, this is easy! I have been in Arizona for 18 plus years now and I have come to adore my state and her many hidden gems. Her is my ideal showcase of our state 48. To begin with we would awaken to a beautiful weekend Arizona morning and head to Tom Thumb’s trail head and take a hike through a majestic mountainside as the sun rises over the McDowell Mountains. Once we had showered up, I would hit the live music brunch at Local Bistro, and not miss out on the eggs benedict and bottomless mimosas. That night I would enjoy a fireside dinner at El Chorro and absolutely must have the beef stroganoff. Then slip to the piano bar at the Royal palms and enjoy a little after dinner drink & music. The next day we would be up and off to Sedona to the Peace Park and Buddha Stupa with offerings in hand to walk clockwise 3 times and pray for the well being of others. I would venture to my favorite secret swimming hole along Oak Creek and put our toes in the cold cool water, followed by a lunch of rattle snake sausage at the Cowboy Bar in town. As the sun set, we would head to Lisa Dahl’s Mariposa for the best view in Sedona on her breathtaking outdoor patio, with food and cocktails unlike any in the state. Spend the night at a hidden gem known as The Briar Patch Inn and will have made sure to reserve the Rock House cabin. Coffee and breakfast on the deck of this cabin while the creek babbles passed us. Then it is back to Scottsdale/Phoenix for one last hoorah, and hit the Sanctuary spa for the day, followed by a sunset drink in the bar overlooking Camelback Mountain. Lastly, end with dinner at the number one chef’s place in the world, Mark Tarbell and Tarbell’s Tavern! Perfect Arizona weekend for sure. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My children. My daughter Hunter, and my son Duke. They can take all of the credit for where and who I am today.
