We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindi Fox and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindi, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking to me is the journey of getting where you want to be, without worrying what other people will think. It’s going back to school at the age of 42 so that you can follow your life long passion, and then starting a business in a new city, with a small network, in a Peri-Covid world. To me taking risks is something we must do, to attain the life we want and dream of. I believe that taking a risk, and and having any sort of success play a big role in people’s happiness. Risk, growth, success… that is the evolution of happiness for me.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When I went to college 20+ years ago, I had a dream of being a Dermatologist. I had suffered some serious acne in my teenage years, and I felt passionate about helping people feel more confident in their skin. My dream career had some starts and stops and several road blocks, along the way, but I’m happy to announce that I’ve made it, and the title Clinical Aesthetician fits me a little better.

After getting a degree in Economics and working for 6 years in the field of Home Loan Finance, I knew it wasn’t for me. I met my husband shortly after leaving the industry, and worked for a start-up company in on-line wine sales. I received my Level I Sommelier, and enjoyed Wine Sales immensely, but it still wasn’t exactly what I was searching for career wise. (I know, what is wrong with me!?)

In 2016, a year after our second baby, my acne flared again. One thing people may not understand is that acne is NOT curable. It’s treatable, but treatment requires consistency! I had always been a product junkie, and loved trying new things, but I knew I needed to find a product that gave me results, and stay consistent. I found an Esthetician and received regular acne facials, and then found a product to love, and started also selling skincare. Not only was my skin showing massive improvement, but I realized that this was a way I could STILL help people with their skin! This was really what my teenage dream was all about; helping people look and feel better about their skin.

It was in 2019, while living in CO, that I was able to enroll in an Aesthetics program. I was so excited to provide clients with products AND services! There were a few other bumps in the road because of a career shift for my husband, and big move to AZ in 2020, but finally in April of 2021, I graduated the Clinical Aesthetics and Laser Technician program at Imaj Institute, here in Scottsdale.

What sets me apart from others is my continuous quest for knowledge. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and am constantly reading and reviewing product ingredients, and treatment protocols. I specialize in Anti-Acne Facials, Microneedling – utilizing AnteAge® MD growth factors which communicate with the skin to help it look and act younger, Body Contouring with the Artisan Sculptor – which flushes fat and tightens skin, and Chemical Peels – including superficial and medium depth peels for the best cell turnover. I’m passionate about helping people take self-care to the next level. I find the best products, with the best ingredients, and apply them in a way to get my clients the best results possible. Every treatment comes with a dose of relaxation on the side. Relax. Glow. Repeat!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting we would start off the day with a hike at Gateway Trailhead or the backside of Tom’s Thumb! My pup, Apollo, is an epic hiker and is always down for the adventure. Having worked in the Food & Wine Industry for several years, I am big time foodie! So, after our hike we would head to Hash Kitchen, for a flight of Mimosas and some #bomb Carnitas Hash. Later in the day we would explore Old Town and its eclectic offerings, from art, boutique clothing at Alixandra Blue, jewelry, home furnishings, and even my favorite tea shop, TeaTime! We might hit up Top Golf for happy hour, but I don’t know if we’ll have time! For dinner we would either choose Maple & Ash or Cafe Monarch. I am a sucker for the chef’s pre-fixe menu and serious wine pairings!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The person who has supported me the most in my journey of entrepreneurship is my husband, Chris Fox. The man supports my personal, professional, and spiritual growth like many women support the growth of their house plants. He stands back and lets all the light shine on me so I can grow and grow and grow. My parents, Dave & Lynn Kauer, have been there through it all! Helping with moves, helping with kids, and supporting my business. My dad is also my family photographer. And lastly, I wouldn’t have my own space if my friend and mentor Karla Gafni, of Enhanced Esthetics hadn’t had an opening! She is a true sister in skincare, and I am blessed to have her in my corner.
