We had the good fortune of connecting with Linsey Tweed and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Linsey, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I was tired of watching the disgusting things that were happening at grocery stores. I always wanted to be my own boss. I always knew I could do it and went for it. The idea was to leave my kids something that would be a future for them. Not just a handout something they needed to work for.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Integrity! Enter as a stranger leave as a friend! That’s my mantra! If you have quality products reasonably priced and great customer service, you have it ALL. None of this has been an easy road in fact quite the contrary. Grit determination and constantly telling myself I will only fail if I quit. Every day is a challenge owning a business. So far, I have overcome many challenges by believing in myself and my future. My story is too long to write here! HAHA. My brand is simple; my products are the best products you can get. We carry alligator kangaroo rabbit pheasant frog legs duck wild boar venison bison elk antelope prime grade beef all-natural chicken all-natural pork 13 + varieties of sausage 9+ different hamburger patties and 50+ varieties of bottled sauces and house seasonings. I think I’m forgetting some.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Cardinal’s Stadium for a football game! 13th floor restaurant Talking Stick Sedona Grand Canyon Steak 44 for their deep-fried banana split Cave Creek bars and restaurants downtown Phoenix roof top bar. Thai E San hole in the wall best Thai food. Downtown Gilbert Whiskey Row Prescott Jerome
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I could not have done this without my kids. They were the driving force. Bret Pont owner of Hobe Meats taught me how to cut meat back in 2000, also allowed me help run his business. He has helped 5 other locations as well. They ALL deserve credit for putting up with me!
