We had the good fortune of connecting with Louie Tomaro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Louie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I grew up in a family where my father was a builder. From a very young age I knew that I loved seeing projects come to life during this building process. I also realized that designing these structures gave opportunity to see ones vision become reality. It was this love of designing and building things that allowed my vision to start my own business. I believe if you love what you do, you will be successful at it. After graduating from architecture school, it was straight path towards owning my own business. The business was started in 1991 after I moved to California from my hometown of Ohio.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The business success is based on treating each and every client as part of our family. We have strived as a company to make our clients the priority and their ultimate highest approval our goal. The business has grown based strictly on reputation and we want each and every client to be our number one priority. We view each client as special and unique and want each project to be designed the same. The goal is to listen to our clients wants and desires add then reflect those in a design that creates a home like no other.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The main is based in Los Angeles so there is plenty to do there. I would start off with a tour of our local coastline cities that wrap along the accessible waterfront area. I would eat at the local coastline casual burger spots and take a walk along the strand to look at some of the amazing architecture that is being designed. Next I would take t them to some of the local community structures that are part of the city such as the new Sofi stadium and the Griffith Observatory. These are two of my favorite buildings to visit. I would finish the trip by visiting and eating some of the vibrant downtown areas to eat and drink and people watch such as the Santa Monica Promenade.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Over the years that the business has developed because of the associates who have been part of the company. I attribute the success to the hard working people who have worked on all of the project we have created over the years. From my office Manager who has been part of the company since its inception. The real credit needs to go to the many individuals who have been part of the company over the 30 plus years in business. I believe the success of the company is because of the people.
