We had the good fortune of connecting with Luke Wynn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Luke, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe that risks are the necessary bridges to reach the ultimate goal of winning in every facet of life. 70% of start-up businesses fail within the first 10 years. 50% of marriages end in divorce. With every endeavor and venture we take, we expose ourselves to the possibility of epic failure. Some choose to believe that running away from risk is simply running away from the possibly of devastation. However, I view it as running away from the possibility of success. Risk taking has lead to me numerous failures and disasters in my life, but the successes I have gained through taking risks outweigh any of the losses. I believe that if I avoid taking risks, I put myself in danger of never being able to see the result of a lifetime of hard work.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the owner Silver Medal Productions LLC. Our services include (but not limited to): Screen Writing & Directing, Music Production, Podcast Production, Artist Development and Consultation.

Silver Medal Productions LLC was established to be a voice for individuals who have been typecasted as mediocre, and designated as unremarkable. Our mission is to create for an audience that longs to be seen on the big screen, or heard on the radio. We want to recognize and inspire the individuals who have been misdiagnosed as unimpressive, while presenting opportunities to creators who understand their value. The world can attempt to force us to be content with being in second place, but we intend to prove to them why we deserve to be at the top.

Growing up, I was the second oldest son, I was the second fastest kid in elementary school, I even came in second place in multiple drum competitions. Despite my work ethic and grit, there was always something about me that kept me from being “number one.” At one point, I considered that perhaps I didn’t have the “it” factor. As I have matured I have come to the conclusion that the individuals around me simply undervalued me and I would naively allow their frail opinions to shape the way I viewed myself. After this realization, I decided to create a space for others like me, who are great in their own-right, but have been subjected to a society that fails to see their potential.

I am excited to be able to work with a team of likeminded creatives who aspire prove to the world that their position is not defined by other people’s opinions and assumptions.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best-friend came to the city for a day, for breakfast we’re hitting up Butter’s Cafe. (I’m assuming its a Sunday in the fall). After breakfast we’re going to catch the Cardinals beat the Niners. After the game, we’ll have go to brunch at Lo-Lo’s Chicken and Waffles. We’ll probably chill at the house before going to get a couple of paletas at La Michoacana plus. (Did I mention I love eating?) After paletas we’ll probably hit some golf balls at top Golf in Scottsdale and watch the Arizona Sunset. After a long day, we’re hittin’ the studio and allowing the inspiration to turn into sonic vibrations!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out my dad, Dr. John Wynn. I grew up admiring him. I had the privilege of watching he and my mom establish successful businesses, plant churches, create music, produce movies, etc. I am tiny extension of him. Maybe one day I’ll be able to preach the way he does, but for now, I’m grateful to be able to utilize my creative gifts I learned from him to create art. I would not be where I am today without the lessons and opportunities he provided me with along the way. And I would be unequipped for the road ahead without his guidance today.

Also, I can never forget to give a shoutout to my Lord and Savior, because he’s continuously empowering, uplifting, and inspiring every move and decision I make.
