Meet Maggie Jane | Model – Fashion Director – Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Maggie Jane and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maggie, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I don’t believe in risks. I believe that the universe will always give me the outcome, from any decision, that is going to guide me to learn or grow in the way that is meant at that given time. I trust in myself and trust in the process. Everything I experience is just apart of my journey. So no matter what I will always find the blessings in any situation. Having this mindset has evolved my life and career more than I could have imagined, and faster as well. I have completely shifted everything in the way I live my life, and just allow myself to feel and be who I am. Exploring any new creative ideas I have, and trusting in them. If they don’t work out, all it means is that it wasn’t meant for me and something better is on the way. Im excited to see how far I can go.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I am a creative. I am the art. I am the vision. Everything I do is an extension of who I am. That’s what sets me apart because no one else can be me, and they shouldn’t want to. I create my work to inspire and make people feel something. With every photoshoot I direct, my end goal is to simply make the audience feel something. To me, that is all that matters when it comes to art. My art is my photoshoots, my work with brands, my fashion shows, and my short films. It is all challenging because I am constantly challenging myself with what I am capable of and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. In this type of industry you have to push yourself and challenge yourself to explore new sides of your creative mind. I did not get into the industry thinking I would be directing a fashion show, but here I am. I am trusting in where the process takes me and enjoying all of the new things I learn about myself along the way.
The lessons I have learned all fall into the category of “stay true to yourself”. My main focus is to do things that are aligned with me, in every way. Whether it’s what I’m eating, what Im working on, or who I’m connecting with, I make sure that it all makes me happy and can inspire others.
I want the world to know that I am here to inspire and create for a really long time, I love what I do. I put so much passion and soul into the things I create, and I would love to create with you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Have to start with one of the amazing hikes out here. My top two at the moment are Camelback-the Echo Canyon Trail and Toms Thumb. That’s a must! For a breakfast spot or smoothie place, I always go to pressed for my smoothie bowls, and for breakfast, you can never go wrong with Snooze Eatery or Get Gooder Goods. Drinks, I justed turned 21 so I’m still trying to figure that out myself. I hang out on mountains to meditate and journal. The most exciting people are my friends and those in the fashion world.
The most interesting places for one, the restaurants, so creative and unique. A lot of interactive museums to explore, the hikes, and all the events going on, there are so many!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I can’t say that there is just one person or thing I could dedicate this to. Everything I’ve experienced has made an impact on my story. Except for the book, The Code of the Extroadrinary Mind by Vishen Lakhiani. Go read that. But shoutout to all of the people that have supported me, booked me for a job, complimented my work, helped my visions come to life, or just gave me a safe space to be myself. Without all of those things I would not be in the place that I am today. For that I am extremely grateful, and I hope I can continue to inspire and bring love to all of those people.
