We had the good fortune of connecting with Mauricio Anaya and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mauricio, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When EDMtree started, our thought was to find a way to share electronic music experiences with every single person who loves it as much as we do. Our intention has always been to reflect those emotions and feelings in a professional way, which means having a balance between our personal preferences and what our readers want to see in an electronic music media.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I think the most important characteristic of EDMtree is the balance between the professional and fan profiles. Which means that all the things we do is because we really love the electronic music, however it is not always easy to find the most professional way to express the love and enthusiasm the music represents for us. And I think we do it in a very good way. We follow the idea of doing the things with passion to avoid the burnout.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definetily I will take my friends to get some tacos and beers. I think that is a good way to hang out and also share experiences and new adventures.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of course I want to thank my partners: Alexis Alexander and Hugo Lopez. We started this project together and definitely I have learned a lot from them during this period. Alexis is a person who follows his ideals no matter what the people say, Hugo is really creative person with a bunch of ideas and initiatives, which are always focused on our professional growth as an organization.
