We had the good fortune of connecting with Miguel Rosario and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Miguel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was creating something fun new and exciting that i could enjoy building from scratch through something im already doing.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is extremely dynamic. The finished product is always inspired through emotion, passion and will power. My style has embodied the culture and essence of Hip-hop which has allowed me to use all that i have experienced in life and express it through competitive breaking. i believe What makes me stand apart from others in the same field is my story and how i’ve prevailed. most in breaking come from a statistic that is not in our favor BUT i have been able to beat every statistic of sustainability through a street dance that is not well respected in the mainstream world not just as a dancer but as a husband and father of 5 children. i have a responsibility to not just my family and community but a responsibility to myself and God. that responsibility is to never give up and succeed with my god given talent. i have the responsibility to believe in me as my family does. although the struggle of becoming a professional athlete in the dance of breaking was difficult i stayed on course and did not allow myself to become distracted from the minds around me. I once read “its no ones job to believe in you, thats your job. Everyone else is just here to witness the results.” i believe iv’e always had this mentality and thats how i got to where i am today. My Brand is special because i know i can bring hope to Fathers who dream big world wide. i know that there is a lot of pressure to be the main provider as men and my message is its okay to struggle for the long term Goal. Lets stay strong and show our children how to do the hardest thing which is take an L and come back stronger from it. Dream Big i know i do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well i live in Phoenix Arizona and if we had a week long itinerary the first stop would be Lake Pleasant. my home of relaxation, jet skies, boating and true Arizona scenic experience. It’s an amazing place to take your dog and family. i would have to follow that by ending the night at westGate entertainment district in the west Valley where you can listen to music go to the movies enjoy your time doing escape rooms video games ax throwing and if you plan it right it could potentially line up with a monster truck show bull riding or something exciting to watch like WWE wrestling. My Favorite place to grab breakfast would be Buddahs Ritual in scottsdale where my family and i enjoy their amazing breakfast menu. not only is the vibe super chill but the menu is Full of flavor from crunchy french toast fries to the savoring pokè bowls. one of my favorite things to do is get my tribe(family) together With the Robinson family. We BBQ swim play games and watch movies on the project while having a few drinks in the pool. Arizona is the place a family fun so i always suggest a good family kick back and swim. if your in a place of stress i would take it out on camelback mountain. This is an intense Hike with no Real trails and a super rewarding finish at the peak of the mountain. in the winter its refreshing and in the summer its not lol but if you go early in the morning it’s one for the bucket list. Now let’s say we were to plan a nice dinner W/ a dress to impress vibe then we are talking Coopers Hawk winery in north Scottsdale. I’ve never had better food or service and what an experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
i would have to shout out the support of my Family who encourage me to continue everytime i think of quitting. This include my Mother, Father, Children and closest friends. there are two books that have inspired me to really dial in on my goals- “Shoe Dog” by Phil knight and the “One Thing” by Gary Keller. and lastly my longest partnership With Monster Energy. in 2014 they signed me as their first Breaking Athlete along with my friend mentor and Team mate Moy Rivas. this long standing partnership has allowed me to travel the world without worrying about the expense of flight, Hotel & food. im blessed and owe a lot of my success to all listed. Feeling Grateful.
