We had the good fortune of connecting with Moana Comans and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Moana, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Growing up in Hawaii, you’re taught to treat everyone as family, which is one of the reasons I believe we are successful. Learning you have to work for what you want and knowing that you’re able to pick yourself back up when you fall also is a good lesson we’re taught. Knowing that the value of a good business is not only how much money you make, but the way you impact others while doing it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My position came easy because my cousin knows how to run and start a business. I have a drive to be the best at whatever it is I’m doing. Fortunately, we make a great team. Working to help run a business has its challenges. What sets what I do apart from other jobs is the investment I put into the people that help this business be successful. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of your business for you . If you sincerely care for your customers, they feel that, and will stay loyal and keep coming back.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely check out Westgate for their restaurants, live music, and bars.

Top Golf is always fun and something out of the ordinary.

White Tank or Estrella Mountains for hiking and scenery.

Park West or Arrowhead Farmers Market for shopping.

Eric’s Barbeque – best local bbq place

Take a drive up north through Flagstaff for lunch at Mama Burger and Williams to Bearizona

Go to Dillions in Morristown to possibly catch some rodeo action.

We’ll since I am the manager of my business, of course the recognition goes to the owner of 808 Social, my cousin Charis Browne. She dreams big while I’m just there to help. We have connected with so many great people in our community because of her great ideas that she has put into motion and owned. I’ve seen compassion, generosity, dedication, and so many great ideas flow from her. I am blessed to be able to work for someone so close to me and still learn and grow together. Charis is an amazing woman.
