Meet Monica Hershaft | Chronic Mystery Illness Expert HHP, NC, ACT NRT

We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Hershaft and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monica, what do you attribute your success to?
After struggling for 10 years dealing with my own Chronic Mystery Illness, I know exactly what it’s like to feel hopeless and unable to find answers. I remember when I was going through so much pain and uncertainty, it felt like I was losing everything that made me who I thought I was. I felt like I was trapped in an invisible prison in my body and there was no way out and no way to take a break from it.
Nobody could figure out what was wrong with me. I made a promise to God, The Universe or whomever was listening that if I could get through this and get my health back, I would do everything in my power to help others avoid going through the misery and loss that I had to endure to find my way back.
Now that I’ve had my health back since 2009, I am in the unique position to truly and completely understand and validate those who are going through their own frustrating health struggles. My patients know that I “get” them and that I’ll stop at nothing to do whatever it takes to help them get their health back and keep it! I’m emotionally invested in every person that I help!

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m so incredibly passionate about the work that I do. This past August, I made the difficult decision to leave my home in Los Angeles to move to Scottsdale, AZ and start a new life here. I’m so happy that I did! I’ve learned over the years that it’s important to listen to that inner voice, that knowing that you feel inside. Even though it was scary to start over, it was the best decision I’ve ever made.
After everything that’s happened in the world lately, I realized that working with patients 1:1 to help them get their health back was not enough. I wanted to see how I could help more people connect with someone who could help them. I have had so many people reach out to me on social media asking for help that don’t live in my area and I didn’t know what to tell them.
So, after some thought, I decided to start producing online events called Treat the Source that would be local to different cities and communities everywhere to help match people with vetted health practitioners near them who could help them get their health back and help them get back to their real and true selves again!
We are providing connections with live Q&A and also connecting people with local healthy services like meal delivery, non toxic beauty services, and other health related products and services as well as an ongoing online membership in a private community where they can continue to receive support and guidance.
When I was sick and searching for answers over that 10 years, never knowing if I was ever going to get my health and my life back and wondering if this was going to be my new normal, I felt so alone. Nobody should have to go through this alone! Now they don’t have to. Our Phoenix/Scottsdale event is coming up this March on the 26th and I’m so excited to help people find the right support for their health.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m still so new to the city but I love it! My best friend, Trina, comes out from Ohio to visit a lot so we go to some of our favorite healthy, organic restaurants like Sante (new and AMAZING) as well as Toca Madera, Sapiens Paleo Kitchen, True Food at the Scottsdale Quarter and FlowerChild. We also love going shopping at the Scottsdale Quarter and even took a side trip to Sedona for the first time which was so much fun! I also am planning to start taking hip hop classes with my new friend, Tricia and have been participating in some amazing entrepreneur women’s groups including The Foundress, Powerhouse Women, Scottsdale Business Babes and getting my photos taken for social media from Femforce Photoshoots. Overall, I’m so happy I moved here and love every person I’ve met so far!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I don’t think I would have made it out to the other side without my dad’s help and support. He never gave up on me and he believed me when nobody else would. When I could no longer support myself and I was too sick to work, he stayed with me to help me and he paid for my hundreds of doctor and other health related appointments and helped support me when I was too sick to work. I have no doubt that I would have ended up homeless and quite possibly dead if he had not been there for me and stuck by my side.
