We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Walsh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Monica, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
One of the most important decisions I made was to be my authentic self with my Brides and their loved ones. I think It’s important to connect on a personal level with clients as it helps me better understand them and their vision! I really want all of my Brides to feel comfortable talking to me about anything.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Ideal Bridal specializes in natural makeup and “Pinterest worthy” hair styles. I believe in enhancing the features my clients were born with so that they feel like the best version of themselves. I feel so lucky to be where I am today! I met some wonderful vendors at a couple networking events and was given a few really awesome opportunities from there. I’ve been on a few Wedding magazine covers, worked on photo shoots with Olympic athletes and have been featured internationally! Ideal Bridal really has blossom by word of mouth and I couldn’t be more grateful. Some lessons I’ve learned along the way is to stay true to yourself and say yes only to opportunities you support and feel good about. I want the world to remember that, “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself” – Coco Chanel. I always want to encourage women to embrace their natural beauty.
