We had the good fortune of connecting with Nadia Mozaffari and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nadia , can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Aside from being an esthetician & skin therapist, I also consider myself a healer. I felt a calling to help people heal about a year ago when I decided to get certified to be a reiki practitioner. Reiki is a hand on body healing method that attempts to align and stimulate biomagnetic energy flowing through the body to promote healing and lessen stress. This caused a shift in my business to focus more on wellness. I believe this can help a community & hope it inspires people to get on a path to their healing journey. There is nothing that I love more than making people feel good about themselves & promote positive energy, confidence, and well-being. Whether I’ve helped get them on track to heal their skin, or their soul, I feel like I’ve done my job.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has been very fulfilling. I get to do what I love everyday and help people along the way. I got to where I am today with the inspiration around me and the support of the people in my life. I feel like in everyone’s journey there is always doubt, naturally, but when people have believed in me it has helped overcome all those doubts and challenges. The lesson I’ve learned along the way is that if you love what you are doing, you will be successful. But the passion and the confidence have to be there. My journey as an esthetician has truly led me to believe that I am meant to do what I am doing. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Being an Arizona native, and foodie, there are many places I love to go. Almost any Mexican restaurant downtown is sure to please. And for entertainment, my go-to is seeing a show at The Van Buren. Best concert venue in the valley!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I am in this journey without the inspiration from my incredible family. One specific family member who has inspired me has been my cousin Sara. She also works alongside me at Carolynes salon, doing hair. She’s amazing at what she does. Also my fiancé Chris, my friends, and my massage therapist Lee (who was a reiki master when I met her) inspire me everyday. The encouragement and support has meant the world. I also have to shout out The Southwest Institute of Healing arts for creating the most amazing, comfortable atmosphere for self-exploration and learning.
