We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalia McDougall and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
For the longest time I didn’t know what i wanted to do career wise. When I got into the Esthetics world and saw how many different paths you could go down I was amazed. I think to make you stand out as an esthetician you have to be unique. And it’s hard to work at a spa and to add your own personal touch because of their protocols which is understandable. So that is where I came in thinking I wanted to start my own business in Esthetics. And it is so fun being able to customize everything in your own business how you like it and others will too!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Cactus Blossom Aesthetics is in a brand new beautiful med spa located uptown Phoenix. The motto is “Blossom into your best skin”. I focus on helping all skin types to have a healthy glow and smooth skin. What sets me apart from others is a judgment free and comfortable vibe and I will actually listen to your needs + concerns, not just aiming to sell you stuff. I am so proud of all of the knowledge I have obtained from the science of the skin, laser esthetics, skin physiology and ingredients. It has not been easy from long nights of extra work or studying but it is definitely worth it to see the smiles on your faces after treatments and to have you trust me with your skin! Here at Cactus Blossom A, if you are looking for an esthetician that you can trust, an aesthetic environment, and luxury treatments with result driven results I am your gal!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were to visit Phoenix, Arizona I would request she comes in the springtime or fall! I would definitely have to make a day trip up to Sedona to show the beautiful red rock mountains, so many good foodie spots, cute shops and just feels like a different world. On the way back swing by Jerome to visit the Haunted Hamburger. Then the next day we would go down to Scottsdale and eat at the Breakfast Club where they have the best avocado toast!! Other breakfast places that are to die for: Hash Kitchen, Lucy At The Orchard or Ronnie’s Cafe. Places I’d take my friend; Fashion Square, Botanical Garden, Diamondback game, salt river tubing, Lake Pleasant, antique shopping or relaxing by the pool. For dinner I would definitely go to Postinos as it is my favorite restaurant!! Other great foodie places to go to; Oceans 44, Toca Madera, Maple & Ash, Maestros, Maggianos or Anaya’s. End the week with staying at a resort in North Scottsdale to relax.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate a shoutout to my mom and dad. They both are so supportive and always motivating me to do my best. It is nice to have parents in your life because they teach you so many things to remember forever.
