We had the good fortune of connecting with Nathalie Young and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nathalie, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I think the most important thing I have done as a parent to impact my children is to be a strong independent woman. I have two daughters and a son, and it is really important for my children to see that women can be leaders in their community and also have a fulfilling family life.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am the Senior Director of Systems and Technology at Blink Charging. This will be my 11th year working for Blink and it has been an amazing experience. I started my career at Blink as a Business Analyst and through the years I have been able to grow professionally with the company. What sets me apart from others is that I never shy away from a challenge and I will give it my all to have a successful outcome. I think my story is one of growth, perseverance, loyalty and commitment and it shows that everything is possible as long as you are passionate and intentional about everything you do.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had some friends visiting for a week I would make sure they get to see all of the beautiful variety of Arizona. I would take them to the three most beautiful places I have ever seen: Horseshoe Bend/Antelope Canyon, Sedona and the Grand Canyon. I would also take them to Cave Creek Biker Row to see all the motorcycle riders come together and enjoy Cave Creek. For a fun night out, I’d bring a visitor to Old Town Scottsdale, and for a view of the city, I’d take them to Camelback Mountain. Finally, I’d wrap the trip up with some authentic Mexican food at El Rey de Las Tortas.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to my mother. My list of reasons is too long to be able to share everything here, but here are a few: My mom has been my role model from an early age professionally and personally. She has achieved the highest levels of education and has had a very successful professional career in the Education field. As I have advanced in my career she has encouraged me to be the best version of myself and always strive for the next level.
