We had the good fortune of connecting with Patty Roberts and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Patty, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My brand is about making a change in someone’s life. As people there are things that we want to change to help us feel better/ have more confidence. It may be a kick start to starting a journey. My clients trust me and in return it turns into loyalty and marketing. I love what I do. I came from big business for over 30 years. I enjoyed what I did with the exception at times seeing decisions made that did not have the employee in mind. When I found this opportunity I realized I could make a difference and always keep my client in mind. That is what it is all about. The success from my business is from social media platforms and referrals. My referrals from come from helping the client make that difference that they are looking for.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I have worked in big business for over 30 years running departments within call centers ranging from Finance, Negotiations and Underwriting. I decided to take some time off and resigned from my company, hoping to take a year off and re-energize myself. Within 6 months I was recruited back into the same industry. Nine months later I was laid off during the pandemic. I started to interview for big business again and I quickly realized I just did not have my heart in it. Yes I could do it for the paycheck but I had the opportunity to do something else. I thought about real estate and other self employed careers. Then I was referred to go get some body contouring done by a friend of mine. When I went to this body contouring specialist I was so impressed with the results and how it worked. I picked her brain. I did some research on the industry and the methods. I felt like I was led to it and I really just made the decision and did not look back. I completely jumped in. I got trained, found my studio in Scottsdale, filed for my business license and got my insurance. This was all within 60 days. Since then I continue to educate myself and network with others within the same field. I have learned so much within this year and love to share it with others. I love the ups and downs of owning my own business. My biggest struggle has been the marketing. I understand building a business comes in time and I believe that my reputation of my work is what brings me my business. I truly love the impact that I have along with meeting new people daily. Life is about loving what you do. I am fortunate to be doing that.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to the strong people in my life. I am fortunate to have many. I really cannot say it is just one person. From my son Tyler Meyer who always believes in me yet he will have such good questions of what, why and how that make me think. A long time friend Kathy Oakes who tells me if I am doing something crazy and supports my crazy ideas. Another friend who is a business owner himself Michael Allen. His belief in me and encouragement was a big help in me deciding to make this leap and own my own business. On days that it may be tough or I feel like I am not as successful as I should be he continues to be a positive voice to me that helps me push for more.
