We had the good fortune of connecting with Radha and Damodar Cordua and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Radha and Damodar, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
This is such a wonderful question and one that we find ourselves meditating on often. We feel as though we were led here, our spiritual life has helped facilitate us on this wonderful path of service to others. For years, we have embraced a community based model, this is something that has always been important to us. Getting people together, supporting our local community of healers, artists and makers and providing a space for the people to come together, feel nourished, heal and grow both individually & collectively is the heartbeat of our business.

We have and will continue to make it a point to provide affordable healing services, gatherings, workshops, trainings and our own line of herbal remedies to help support people on their healing journey.

So simply put, our success is based on service: a desire to heal ourselves, heal others, support one another, provide a space so that we – and any who walk through our doors – can authentically progress in our own journeys of connection, empowerment & creativity

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Bhava Wellness is a Sanctuary, we offer the space to help guide your personal journey of mind, body, and spirit.

We specialize in yoga, Ayurveda, Life + Relationship Coaching, Spirituality, Meditation, ongoing workshops and healing sessions by an array of talented practitioners.

Our boutique space includes a full herbal apothecary, a full time in house Herbalist, Ayurvedic Practitioners, and a variety of beautiful, sustainable, and mystical objects for healing, home, and adornment.

We are grateful for the fact that on daily basis we see that our hard work translate into both our own healing & the healing for so many others in our local – and world-wide – community

Right now, we are especially excited by the growth of our wholesale product line, the reopening of our yoga studio in a beautiful new space, and the expansion of our one-on-one coaching & consultation work

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We love to hike so we would definitely take them to some of our favorite nature spots: Madera Canyon, Romero Pools, Sabino Canyon, Mount Lemmon

If it’s warm out, we would pack a picnic lunch from things we probably got from the co-op and maybe a few special treats from Time Market and go swimming and play in the sun at one of the local lakes

We are vegetarian but eat a primarily vegan diet so we love sharing some of the amazing Tucson veg options: Govindas for the wonderful food and devoted atmosphere, Beaut Burger in the lovely MSA Annex if we want to get our happy bellies on, Anello Pizza for the incredible sour dough crust and minimal interiors, we LOVE both Cafe Desta and Zemam.s for delicious Eritrean food, Tumerico for a fresh fun vibe and unique plates and lastly Tuk Tuk Thai!

Musts: San Xavier Misson, The Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park West, Tucson Mountain Park, Gates Pass, The Tucson Botanical Garden, perhaps some of our favorite local Cactus Gardens and shops for some Sonoran delights.

Some of our favorite shops to have a nice stroll around are Bookman’s (we love to read), Of House in the Lost Barrio for unique hand built furniture, Mast in the Mercado, and they can’t leave without picking up something special from our favorite local makers: Sonoran Rosie, Trevor Mock, Agave Pantry and Spring & Vine!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This question is very dear to our hearts. There is a Vedic term called Parampara which means – from an uninterrupted continuation of learning and hearing from teacher to student. We have been blessed with many wonderful teachers who have fanned the spark of our spiritual & healing journey and our entry into a life of service to others.  Without their influence, we cannot imagine living the life that we lead.  In particular, two teachers that have patiently given us the gift of healing & higher conscious (specifically, the path of bhakti – or the yoga of love) is our guru dev Radhanath Swami and our beloved teacher Raghunath Prabhu.
