We had the good fortune of connecting with Renee Fuentes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renee, can you talk to us about the impact the Covid-19 Crisis has had on your business.
My recipe food blog, ThaiCaliente.com, has experienced an increased in viewers and more engagement from readers making my recipes. With restaurants being closed and shelter in place, people are cooking more and looking for new recipes to keep their meals easy and exciting. I’m fortunate that I can work from home and create recipes and YouTube videos to help people during this unique time. It’s so awesome to see more people cooking and families having meals together. These are the memories people will remember and I hope it continues even post quarantine.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love sharing my passion of food and cooking with my audience. Food brings people together and creates special memories. ThaiCaliente.com is my way of sharing family recipes with the world and hope to inspire people to make them.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love hanging out in Downtown Gilbert. I’d start with Breakfast at Liberty Market, then check out some local goods at studio 223, and happy hour at OHSO.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband- He’s my biggest cheerleader, critic, and my ultimate taste tester! He’s always there to support me and pushes me to achieve my best. We’re a team and TeamWork makes the Dream Work!
