Meet Sam Gundie | Sports and entertainment Personality

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sam Gundie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sam, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
The progress that I’ve made over the last couple years. When I first started my digital series it initially was an experiment to prove to myself that being a sports and entertainment personality was something that was really passionate about and not just doing because it Seemed cool. Ive always been enamored with the GRIND. I could never see myself giving up. There is so much more that I want for myself and its obtained three ways. God, Hard work work, and networking.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
SO I try and not to put a ceiling over myself within media but I classify myself as a Sports and entertainment broadcaster. I am a on camera host for my Digital Series titled “TalksWithGundie”. Ive done with everyone from Upcoming Artist to Nfl starters. My “9-5” is in television as well I work for channel 4 in Phoenix AZ which is called Yurview AZ.. The one thing I am most proud of so far is the PROGRESS that I made pitching my craft and the the people that I’ve interviewed. At the start of my career I wasn’t the most comfortable in front of the camera, I would make my questions long winded and have to do multiple takes. Lastly the individual I’ve interviewed from Kennan Allen (Pro bowler for the Chargers), Jp Crawford ( SS for the Mainers), Kalana FRFR ( Artist signed to Roc Nation)

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being From Los Angeles its a number of places I can take but since we’re talking about Phoenix Id take my friends to Scottsdale let them experience that especially if its their first time in AZ. If they were to come down Friday we would have to hit “LO LO Chicken & waffle” then top Golf and hit old town so they can see what’s going on in that area. Saturday would be an adventurous thinking of Paintballing and then a casino night especially with my boys. Sunday it would be NFL Sunday so if we are not at the game we would be at the bars watching the game enjoying the energy.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Man I don’t think there is enough space for me to thank everyone that’s has helped me get top the positions I am in now. First and foremost my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. My Niece Abriana plays huge role she has believed in every move I’ve made with my media career from side line reporting, digital hosting etc. Next my mother Sherry who has been my biggest advocate with everything I’ve done in LIFE. Lastly my media professor Paul creasmon who gave me the confidence and let me know that this is what I COULD DO.
