Meet Sam Sharman | NFT Artist & Musician | Producer | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sam Sharman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sam, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think that if we consider the role our intuition plays in taking risks, we actually come out with an equation that looks something like: confidence born of preparation + faithful action + unattachment = (r)evolutionary life steps. Now the outcome might not look like what you envisioned; nonetheless, the process has spit you out into an evolved position on your life path. Risk is everything. But it must be guided and grounded by your “inner knowing” – that deep wisdom even beyond faith that guides you relentlessly back into your truth. In tarot, I would equate risk to the archetype of The Fool, who is known to step off the cliff blindfolded, not knowing where they will land, only knowing that they must take the step to start their journey.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am interested in collective liberation and the full embodiment of our divine selves. My visual art as well as my music explore pathways back to the wholeness of ourselves. Our truths, our power, our tears, our tethers; our memories, our stories, our experiences – they live and scatter and play themselves out again and again in ways that either serve us or don’t. I am interested in helping us become aware of our karmic / psychological / emotional patterns and using that information to break out and liberate ourselves. While this manifests on a social / collective level, I bring us into intimate conversation with our inner / higher self first, then allow that inward spiral to impact the world we create outwardly.
I have been transitioning from Web2 to Web3, the metaverse, and the world of crypto and NFTs (if you don’t know what these are, follow me on twitter and check out my website!) for the last year. I see these landscapes as expressions and tools of consciousness expansion, where the potential for creative imagination can explore and activate on whole new echelons.
Being a creator in this space is a huge learning curve. It takes perseverance, endurance, patience, humility, and the need to constantly position yourself as a student. That said, hands of help abound in NFT communities. And we are just at the forefront of this frontier. Being a creator in the field at this stage of the game allows me and my team to not only ride the momentum of this emerging world, but shape the wave. It’s an honor to be a voice of integrity-based intention, harmony, and mindful balance with growing prominence in these interweaving worlds of art, finance, technology, health, and mindfulness.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ooh! Firstly, I take all my homies to the Sedona vortexes starting with Boyton Canyon. I love helping people attune to the energetic healing the land offers us. Coasing up the 89A is one of the most beautiful drives, plus lots of great spots to stop off for some creek action. And of course we all have our secret spots in the Verde Valley for locals. For morning goodies, I’m always at Layla’s Bakery & Cafe; an afternoon stop at the Juicery is a must, and 1,000% Elote cafe for a sexy night out. Chocola Tree for just about every other meal. Also, now this might sound odd, but stopping into our local water store, Sedona Water Works, is a social must. Our community likes to congregate around good water and positive intentions.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Becoming a sovereign, independent artist in this transitional global epoch of Web2, stagnant economic structures, and spirit-crushing ideology can be exactly as challenging as it sounds. It is a path of repeated “failures”, constant retunement, and unstoppable resilience. Leaning into the support from my family (by blood and by choice) has been a constant for me. In particular my sister, Jessica Sharman. The difference it makes to have one person fully believe in you cannot be understated. My sister’s faith in me has comforted me on my darkest days, and shines onwards into the brightest ones. Cradle to grave and beyond, Jessica.
