We had the good fortune of connecting with Sean Rojas AKA Lavish and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sean Rojas, what do you attribute your success to?
The main driving force behind the want/need for success of my music and brand, is the idea of my family for generations has had to scrape by. I want to be the one to give my family the lives they deserve. The lives we’ve been working so hard for, for years.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My main art is my own music. My own lyrics and Rhymes. The uniqueness of my flow and beat selection will set me apart from most. But, the main mission of my music is “Everybody Eats”. The music industry is so cut throat and everyone wants to trample each other for the gold medal. My view is, if I help you and you help me then when one of us wins we both win. I’m a humble and selfless person. I just want to make a change in someone’s life. If money and fame come with it, great. But I want my art to help inspire greatness and empower the masses.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have to say I love downtown Phoenix. I’ve shot music videos with the murals. I would say for great Mexican food I would take anyone to Unos Tacos in Glendale. If I had a week with my friends, I would take them to Sedona and witness the nature and beauty of the desert. Or go to Arrowhead Mall and shop and eat local restaurants like Boco DE Bepo.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to say thank you to my long time friends, teammates, and brothers Cruzer Urameshi and Benny Cosmic. Without them as a support system and soundboard I wouldn’t be the person/artist I am today. BT(Blvck Trivd) has been the push I needed to pursue my dreams.
Also, I’d like to shout out my father for always supporting my dreams. Even when I was a broke starving artist.
