We had the good fortune of connecting with Shelby C. (AhavaJadori) and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shelby C., any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
Knowing whether to keep going or give up when defeated is the question at hand! Figuring out how to stay motivated in the face of failure or after a demoralizing setback can feel impossible. And while you may feel your all alone in this matter you’re not. We all have had our battles, rather in our personal life or business endeavors the struggle to overcome your doubt or fear while chasing your goals is a task not for the weak.

But never give up! When the going gets tough it might be tempting to quit and start something new but learning how to persevere and finish strong is so much more rewarding. Success and achievement comes from ones mindset. Building a mindset requires discipline, strength, confidence, and ambition. You must believe that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to, but you also must have faith and believe that everything happens for a reason. Time is of the essence. Things fall in place as they should when they should, and that timing is not based off when you want things to happen but when god is sure you’re ready to receive the needs of your blessings.

Just like a roller coaster life has many ups and downs, twist and turns but the key is simply finding the courage to hold on. Don’t compare your experience to anyone else’s. Flowers are pretty but so are sunsets and they look nothing alike. Everything that’s broken was beautiful at one time. And our mistakes make us better people. Never look at the glass half empty always look at the glass half full. So, when you think your at the end because your mirror has cracked remember you can piece it back together, it may not be as clear but after every storm is a rainbow and pot of gold.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I am most proud and excited about all my hurdles ive overcome and all the accomplishments i have made in life. From modeling gracing the covers of your favorite tattoo magazines to dancing & hosting at your favorite night clubs world wide to working in education helping prepare are youth for a brighter future. The journey has been non stop blessings. With so many goals I set for myself Im proud to say I checked a lot off my bucket list but I have also had set backs and disappointments. Finding the balance between entertainment to education was not an easy task. A lot of travel late nights and early mornings but here I am living proof that you can have whatever you desire in life with hard work consistency & dedication. I’ve learned that even though you may not fully know what your purpose is in life you have to have faith and enjoy the path set before you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Due to the fact that I travel a lot I’m always up for checking out new places and loading my itinerary up with cool things to do. Whenever I travel it’s a must that I start my morning with a good brunch, visit a pop up art exhibition, hit the fashion district and do some mini shopping. I’m a huge sports fan so if it’s football or basketball season we’re definitely hitting a game. Mid day we gotta hit a day party and check out a hookah lounge. Stroll the town check out the main attractions that makes each city great. Last but not least the best Resturant for dinner so I can get dressed up cute and take pictures while giving a full review on my IG.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like shoutout everyone who has contributed to my life over the past 32 years. I am grateful for everyone who has shown me kindness and generosity through thick and thin. The people who push me and give me strength to continue chasing my dreams and moving forward. For being there for me even when I’m not easy to be there for. The people who have brighten my view and given me opportunities to further myself personally and in my career. Those people are my family, friends, associates, fans and anyone I’ve came in contact with to bless me with there presence. The love and support never goes unnoticed. Without them there is no me so I thank you for I am a better person today than I was yesterday and I will be a better person tomorrow than I am right now.
