We had the good fortune of connecting with Simona Lauren and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Simona, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Doesn’t matter either is business or personal life.
I believe that learning Your lessons, gives you personal growth and bigger and better chance to success.
Giving up in my opinion is not a solution.
Life is to beautiful to give up on opportunities, that is waiting for you.
You just need to take opportunities with confidence and knowledge that it’s not going to be easy.
The reason I was able to create my business, because I never give up, no matter how hard sometimes it can be.
I rather regret what have i done, instead of regretting not doing it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m private chef and event planner. My motto – passion and precision. It’s not just a dinner, it’s not just food for me. I do interact with my guest all the time and trying to give ultimate Michelin type of experience in a comfort of they’re home.

This can be challenging at times because you cannot give as much options as you would be able to in the restaurant.
The way i found to overcome situations like this – always give a little extra more attention to details while preparing for the event. Micro managing sometimes….
The lessons learned over time – dedicate and share workload with your team.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Valley of the sun has so much to offer, there is so many hidden gems. I would definitely start with SPA day at Biltmore Arizona with iconic Frank Lloyd Wright architecture. I love French restaurants and great wine selection i would send them to grab some sharable plates and drink on Thursday night at The Mick Brasserie – great food, nice ambiance, live music.
Fine dining experience Monarch Cafe or restaurant Reserve.
Weekend fun – Scottsdale downtown clubs.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
