We had the good fortune of connecting with Simone Morris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Simone, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to make a difference. I knew that taking the reins would allow me to embrace being a multifaceted human being. I leveraged various talents in project management, coaching, training, and facilitation. I also had a passion for bringing authentic inclusion to life, and so I leaped forward.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are about empowerment and equipping leaders with the tools they need to lead the ever-changing diverse workforce. We provide leadership coaching, training, consulting, and speaking services. At the heart of what we do is inclusive leadership. Everyone is responsible for creating an inclusive world and workplace. We all can take some action to help move towards inspiring inclusion.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Mecha Noodle Bar. I love this Vietnamese restaurant and recommend their Pho King soup or hot oil dumplings dish. I’m also a big Hibachi fan, so I’d take them to Sakura for some entertainment, sushi, and good food.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to shout out my friend Bridgett McGowen and Press 49. They do great work in the independent publishing space. I’d also like to shout out my work friend and sister, Karen Senteio, who is a powerful Executive Coach and Facilitator. She is always looking out for me. And thank you to Denise D’Agostino, who has been a wonderful mentor for me.
