We had the good fortune of connecting with SkRUFF ZONA and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SkRUFF, why did you pursue a creative career?
It gives me an ample amount of ways to be myself and show off my creative artsy side. I get to be in my own bubble, set my own schedule and show off in my own way, shape, and form.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being an artists has its upside and downside, that could either make or break you. Making music can have its frustrating time periods, but what are you going to do to get over that hump? Slowing down or speeding up the work ethic is usually how I get over my ruts. I have a solid core of artists that I work with and consider them to be family, and their voices never go unheard, whether it’s good or bad. This also transitions into my music because I have a unique way of rapping and my voice tells it all. I wouldn’t be where I’m at if I didn’t have the folks supporting me SkRUFF ZONA and ShredItGANG
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Catch a few local hip hop shows, comedy shows, BBQ, sports games, Shoot pool, bowling, take a trip out of the city. Nothing to fancy.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
