We had the good fortune of connecting with Casper Artistry and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Casper Artistry, why did you pursue a creative career?
Throughout my life I felt an urge to create and it became my biggest passion and my therapy. I wanted to continue creating and to move people with my art. Art with no restraints, only captivating and heartfelt no matter the medium being used. My wish is to give something beautiful to this world and to break through our barriers and walls of stigma. Something that touches a spirit and reaches the soul. Art is a way to dig deeper if we pay attention. It is a way of viewing the world and being curious about all aspects of life, good or bad. I fortunately have the ability to create visuals to tell stories out of empathy. I want my work to take on deeper meanings to give powerful messages of what could be. I’ll let your imagination run. As a multimedia artist, it is my mission and intentions to be curious and inspire people through my vision. I pursued an artistic career because it just may reach out to someone in a time of need or understanding for change. Something you love to do or you’re passionate about will pay off itself and I could only dream of giving back someday. Also, I love what I do!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Art is never a competition to me as we are all different and go through the motions of our own personal experiences. Our encounters shape and mold us into who we are today. I’m proud to be the person I am today because I’ve faced more than enough challenges to prove to myself that I can make a difference through my work. I’m willing to dig deep for my purpose and I’m mostly excited about fighting for something bigger than myself. Life is never easy but the main goal is to never give up. I overcome these challenges by keeping positive and staying active. I find ways to channel my mind set and go for the simple little pleasures in life and playing music has definitely been one of them. After that I get back on my main course which is focusing on what’s important. All my lessons in life have not only made me grow as a person but it made my art grow as well. I want the world to get inspired by my work and to understand where I’m coming from through visuals by opening eyes and hearts.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wherever my ride takes me by surprise. Mount Everest is far beyond my reach so I’ll stick with what I love to do and share with. I’m a southern girl so a good time for me is just taking a drive and viewing the incredible wonders of nature underneath the stars. I get a lot of inspiration just from that and exploring but it’s not for everyone. Bonfires and camping out is where it’s at while making a mighty fine pizza over the fire. Hopefully my best friend will come around and enjoy that just as much as I do.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Super duper thank you to my mom and granny for always being there for me through their love and kind words of encouragement. Most importantly God deserves a huge shoutout especially!
