Meet Stephanie Phillips | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Phillips and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, what matters most to you?
At Red Bird Road, every piece tells a story of empowerment, sustainability, and ethical craftsmanship. We curate high-quality, affordable jewelry and accessories that not only elevate your style, but also create meaningful impact.
Red Bird Rd. is more than a brand- its a movement toward conscious fashion that gives back, uplifts communities, and inspires confidence. When you wear our pieces, you’re wearing purpose.
The purpose behind Red Bird Road was the create a brand where each piece is selected specifically to look good, do good and feel amazing. We value our commitment to ethical production and sustainable pieces meant to last. We focus on supporting small makers around the country, making a difference in our community, and repurposing products instead of filling landfills.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Red Bird Rd is my way of bringing affordable, high-quality, and meaningful jewelry and accessories to people who want something more personal than mass-produced products. What sets us apart is our focus on handmade and upcycled designs- from high quality, gold-filled gemstone pieces to accessories crafted from repurposed luxury materials like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Chanel. Every piece tells a story, whether it’s a gemstone necklace with timeless character, an upcycled bag or designer hardware given new life through careful craftsmanship. Our products support a multitude of causes from helping trafficking victims regain their freedom to providing equine therapy for veterans and disadvantaged youth in Arizona.
I’m most proud of building a brand that combines creativity with sustainability. It hasn’t always been easy- learning e-commerce, handling logistics, and standing out in such a competitive space all came with challenges. I leaned into persistence, community support, and staying true to my vision. I’ve learned that growth comes from balancing patience with action, and that customers connect most when you share your story authentically.
At the end of the day, I want the world to know that RedBirdRd.com is about more than jewelry and accessories- it’s about celebrating individuality, valuing craftsmanship, and proving that affordable can still mean beautiful, sustainable, and impactful.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the perfect mix of desert beauty, great food, and the vibrant culture that makes Scottsdale and Phoenix special.
We’d start with a horseback ride in Rio Verde- taking in the scenery including those gorgeous views of the Four Peaks, and follow up with lunch at the Living Room in DC Ranch. Later, I’d take them through Cave Creek to explore the old western feel of Arizona- with great drinks and great music.
If it is during the holidays, we are 100% going to the Christmas at the Princess- the best holiday event of the year. If it’s February, we are doing the best concert of the year- Concert in the Collesium at the Waste Management open.
Midweek, we’d do a day trip — maybe Sedona for red rock hikes and wine tasting, and dining at Mariposa.
And of course, a true visit wouldn’t be complete without some downtime by the pool, a spa day at one of the JW Marriott Desert Ridge followed by a casual dinner at Kasai and some country line dancing at Foley Ranch.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to recognize the talented makers whose artistry and dedication to their craft inspire me in the slow fashion movement. In a world driven by fast fashion, they remind us of the value of one-of-a-kind, handcrafted pieces- how a single pair of earrings or a repurposed bag can make a meaningful difference in moving away from throwaway culture. I’m also deeply grateful to my husband, family, and friends who have supported my business journey from the very beginning.
