We had the good fortune of connecting with Summer Snow and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Summer, can you tell us about an impactful book you’ve read and why you liked it or what impact it had on you?
Our Support Angel Network is a place to go when a person is looking for a non-judgmental ear to listen and support them through challenges they are facing in their lives. By sharing our stories and experiences it lets others know that they are not alone. Sometimes all a person needs is to talk to or read something from someone who understands. Our community offers support in various areas such as Depression, Anxiety, Parenting, Grief & Loss, Relationships, Spirituality and more.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My nonprofit organization, Cat Mama’s Sanctuary, cares for the homeless cat population in our neighborhoods and communities. It is our vision to eliminate euthanasia as a means of population control for homeless cats through our Spay/Neuter/Feed/Adopt Program. We work with local vets practices, rescue groups, and cat loving volunteers and caregivers to trap, neuter, provide medical care, food/supplies, and to adopt out the homeless cats that live on our streets. The overpopulation issues we face can be solved through spaying and neutering homeless cats so they cannot have new litters, and finding forever homes for those who are adoptable. One of the biggest challenges we face today are the large numbers of kittens being born each year and not having enough funds or resources to stop the reproduction cycle before it starts. I am also a Certified Life Coach, Hypnotherapist and Master Foot Reader. In addition to having a passion for helping homeless kitties, I am equally passionate about helping others live their best lives by overcoming challenges that keep them immobilized. I understand how important a good support system can be when you’re going through tough times, and I wanted to create a judgment-free space for people to go if they need an ear to listen, support, or advice around anything they may be facing in life. The Support Angel Network is an online community of people that come from all different backgrounds and experiences, who want to help others by offering support via phone, chat, videos, inspirational content, stories, articles, services and events. The Support Angel Network is like an online marketplace to find people who are interested in supporting others on their journeys. During these uncertain times, it is important to have support, and many do not have a good support system. It is our hope that we can bring people together to unite for one common purpose; to give and get support, when and where we need it the most. We are all in this together and our support for one another through these challenging times is what will make us stronger. The Support Angel Network is a service provided by Cat Mama’s Sanctuary that helps further the mission of Cat Mama’s Sanctuary. If we want to create more balance in the homeless cat population, it takes the support of a community to do so. And if we want to create more balance in our own lives, the support from a community can help us accomplish that too. Membership fees from the Support Angel Network are used to spay/neuter, provide medical treatment, food and supplies to the homeless cats that live on our streets, and to promote all adoptable cats so that they may find comfort in the arms of a family that will love them for years to come. It is our hope that everyone can find the support they need through our network of Support Angels. We just recently launched the Support Angel Network and are looking for people who can offer support, as well as those looking for support, to join our online community. We are grateful to everyone that has made this vision possible. Thank you.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Sedona for a day or two. The energy there is always refreshing and gets you out and away from the chaos of everyday life. Japanese Friendship Garden. In the heart of Phoenix, yet tranquil, green and zen. The Farm at South Mountain. Self-sustainable and truly farm-to-table.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The first profound teacher I had was Wayne Dyer. Through his knowledge and wisdom, I was able to understand and heal a lot of pain and trauma I had in my life. I then got my education at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, which trained me in various healing techniques that not only helped me, but allowed me to help others as well. So I dedicate a huge shoutout to Wayne and SWIHA. I also want to dedicate my shoutout to all of the cat loving volunteers out there on the streets, day in and day out, helping and caring for the homeless cat population that needs us the most. They truly are angels and if it wasn’t for their support I wouldn’t be where I am today. Cat Mama’s Sanctuary is a way of giving back to the cat community by helping these wonderful volunteers and caregivers with food, supplies, and medical care for homeless cats in our neighborhoods and communities.
