We had the good fortune of connecting with Sydni Hollenbeck and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sydni, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I lost my work from home job in September of 2023, I had done photography as a hobby in the past, and knew I had the skills to make it a business, so I did. It is something I am able to do while my husband watches the kids when he gets home from work, and I mostly work evenings. It just made the most sense in my crazy life with 3 kids. I also just love it!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started photography in high school, didnt have a ton of interest in it at first, at least not photographing people, I loved landscape photography. I eventually fell in love with photographing people and slowly got to the point I am at today. I look back at my photos from first starting and cringe, but even now I am still learning different tricks and things to take better photos. I struggled a lot with confidence at first, but the more I shoot the more confident I become. I have 3 kids, a 5 year old girl, and twin 3 year old boys, they have helped me to have the motivation to create art and they make great practice subjects!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them hiking out in the superstition mountains, we would probably take a trip to northern Arizona, maybe go camping.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband,Trevor. He is always doing dinner and oftentimes bedtime with the kids while I am away at photoshoots or networking events. I would also like to shout out everyone that has let me practice photographing them. I didn’t always have good photos, but would not have gotten here without the practice.
