Meet Tari Fields | Owner of Qween Tea Photography and Freelance Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tari Fields and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tari, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
As a parent, I would have to say the most important thing I have done as a parent in terms of impacting my children would be to keep trying. I am a jack of all trades it was definitely a journey to get to where we are now but through all the ups and downs I continue to push and make leaps and bounds showing my children when one door closes another one opens and to keep moving forward with the things that make your soul happy. I have accomplished many things in my life I am 1st and foremost a mother of 2 great kids, I am a war veteran, I am a certified dental assistant, I have assisted in training service dogs, and I am a Classically trained chef from Le Cordon Bleu. I believe everything and everybody is around for a reason, a season, or a lifetime and different circumstances changed my trajectory throughout my life I am proud to have been able to accomplish all I have and this current path has landed me publications in over 20 magazines, a photography job at Super Bowl 57 and I have met some amazingly influential people. I will continue to be a dream-chasing example to my children.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Currently we are working on an installation fondly referred to as “What is your why- A cannabis story” we go and find people of all walks of life, all different professions, male, female and take their picture in an element that makes them comfortable, dressed however they choose that makes them feel most themselves, and how they chose to partake with Cannabis. As i photograph I ask them about their story, their why. We want to showcase the story the person who they are who happens to chose cannabis whether it be for physical, emotional, or mental health. What sets us apart is we take the time to get to know our clients and their stories to really be able to showcase the essence of someone you have to get to know them and that’s what we have strived to showcase in our what’s your why installation.
We have definitely had learning curves on the business side but we take it in stride and adjust and we comeback even stronger than before.
We have learned that all photoshoots aren’t created equal and I can’t put individuals in a box. So my price points are curated specifically for each client. We ask about all the elements of the shoot in our free consultation to give you the best possible price point.
We want everyone to know we care about each and every client and strive to make each client’s experience memorable.
With our installations our goal is to make a difference in people’s lives, provoke emotions and thoughts on controversial subjects to spark a conversation. But most of all we are a family owned business, we are veteran owned and operated just paving the way to support our family.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
