We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Edoria and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
The end goal is to have a school built, teaching and treating effects of historical trauma on children, teenagers and young adults through the arts and self discipline. Being of African descent as well as of the indigenous Americans, it is important to me that I know my history and educate myself, stay disciplined, and hone my skills of being an artist. My journey of self discovery has a great deal to do with my passion and influences my art a lot, wether Im writing a song or scripting.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I moved from Detroit MI, to Arizona January of 2019. I had a pretty hard year the year before, it was my first experience dealing with deal close up and starting to take the world and my goals more serious. Within a month I was working at the phoenix new times building for a digital marketing company and that was my introduction to AZ. Shout out my aunt and the homies who let me crash while I was adjusting for real. It was not easy at all. I had to do a lot of deep work. Overcoming anxiety, and learning how to slow down, keeping that inside and outside balance was a challenge. Im still applying myself everyday because the training really never stops. I was introduced to yoga in a way that made me comfortable and through that I started to learn about the art of breathing. These instances and experiences taught me more about patience, longevity, respect, and humility. Through and from my art I want to express to the world that the collective effort at maintaining the core values of life, existence, evolution and the sacred knowledge is in the power of the people.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite spots in the city would have to be Snooze, Flower child, and Green Vegetarian. When my family comes out to visit ill take them there. Im an outdoor person, so sedona and flagstaff are two my most liked places In AZ. Id definitely take them to mingle with the homies at Get Free, Snotty Man, KT the Intellect and some other dope beings.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
When it comes to giving credit and recognition to others for supporting and believing in my journey, I show gratitude and give thanks to the Most High for skills and abilities. I have to shout out ma dukes, my mother for her perseverance and will power. God Rest My Father, and I appreciate him for his direction, strength and genuine love that he left me with. All eleven of my siblings for the inspiration they are for me get a big shout out too. Furthermore since moving to Arizona in 2019. I want to shout out Get Free Set, my producer aka Producers Unknown and The kaleidoscope Kidd.
