We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Lobdell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiffany, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
One of my favorite quotes is “Feel the fear and do it anyway” There have been so many times in my career that I was scared or nervous and had the fear of failure. Each time I felt that fear I didn’t stop or let it control me, It pushed me to accomplish my goals and dreams and step outside my comfort zone. I know it can be scary sometimes but once you push through that fear, great things can happen. Even if some things may not go the way you want it to, you can learn and grow from the mistakes.

Vivid Hair Creations is a super cute and fun Salon Suite with two incredibly talented hair stylist who offer a full range of hair services. I believe not only our talent and extreme passion for the industry sets us apart from others but our outgoing, bubbly personalities creates an atmosphere that you want to keep coming to. The ambience is filled with positivity and good vibes. I am most proud of fulfilling my dream and opening a salon. In only 1 year of opening we have just recently expanded into a larger space. I have never been happier and am so proud of myself for accomplishing a huge goal. I have been in the hair industry for 13 years. My first 2 years out of cosmetology school I worked at a chain salon “Fantastic Sams” and then rented a chair inside a Peoria Salon. After 10 years of booth renting, I knew it was my time to make my move and achieve my dream. It was definitely challenging and there were many bumps in the road but I can proudly say it has been the best decision of my life. I look forward to this new chapter in my career. I have learned that no matter the challenges you may face, you will learn and grow and become a better person. Im a firm believer of everything happens for a reason and I truly believe that it has led me to my destiny. If you keep a positive mind and attitude anything is possible!

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I am all about supporting local businesses especially since I own a small business. In the past couple years I have become an avid coffee and tea drinker and I love to check out different coffee shops in the valley . One of my favorites is a coffee shop located in Peoria called Well Coffee Co. It has such a great atmosphere and is a perfect spot to go to relax and enjoy a yummy drink after hiking West Wing Mountain. On the weekends, you can find me and my husband at a local bar and grill called Lakeside . They have amazing food especially their chicken wings and fish & chips . I feel it’s super important to shop local and support others. Typically small business are owned and operated by one single person who had a dream just like I did . I know how happy it makes me to have all the support from so many clients , friends and family so I feel it’s important to do the same to other local businesses.

After feeling so empowered and inspired from all of her tips and tricks on how to grow a successful business , I decided to join her Thrivers Society Program.
