We had the good fortune of connecting with Tim Champion and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tim, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Our thought process behind starting Boppr started with three of us, cofounders owning our own businesses handing out business cards to prospective clients and realizing that more often than not they would lose them thus resulting in a loss of a long life time value customer. We then found ourselves sharing our contact card to prospective clients which was nice at first however, this doesn’t allow them to follow you and have constant engagement through social media because as we all know in this day and age brand awareness is everything, and that generally comes through the form of some social media vertical. All three of us have helped each other over the years in our various businesses Matt Nemetz being the Branding Specialist and Cinematographer and Jerrick Hakim being the developer for our websites in our other businesses we have just never done something together until finding this common problem we all had and discovering a solution to impact the world with to make sharing all of your information seamless thus making more meaningful connections

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets us a part from the rest is that we aren’t from Silicon Valley, I am from a little town called Beloit Wisconsin along with both my partners who still live there. Coming from a small town, doing big things and having a big vision isn’t ordinary by any means. Furthermore when people find out that 3 people founded and run the entire company they are astounded because of how well everything is presented and delivered. We are also 100% self funded which is very abnormal in the tech industry especially. We’ve had several offers from investors but nothing has really hit our hearts to take because to us it’s about the amount of impact we can bring to the world not just the money. For an investor to stick out to us they would need to bring much more than money to the table (ie connections). Boppr has allowed us the opportunity to enter into multiple rooms with incredible people and we know that is what it is doing for people around the world!

Getting to where we are today wasn’t easy but it was definitely worth it, the people that have supported us from the beginning we are very grateful for and we owe a lot to them for our continued growth and the ability to reinvest and continue to grow.

We have all learned that Boppr continues to provide solutions for nearly every different avenue within business that you can think of, from utilizing our QR code on a resume to showcase your LinkedIn and contact info in one place easily to a prospective employer all the way to restaurants sharing their social media and menu via our devices to create viral-ability and consumer engagement for the restaurant in one visit

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First and foremost, we would start at The Boozy Breakfast over on High Street boppr.me/theboozy next we would hit up Desert Ridge for some shopping and then head over to Dutch Bros to have a short but excellent conversation with their friendly staff. Next we would head up to Sedona to take in the captivating views and refreshing air. We would visit the Hudson for some amazing food outside! The next thing we would do would be hitting saguaro or canyon lake! Wakeboarding in and out of the beautiful inlets of the lake is some of the best kind of fun Arizona has to offer. We’d finish it up by going to Octane raceway and the Saturday car show at the pavilions

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Number one I would say God is who I give all the credit to. A specific organization would be Vemma, a network marketing company had a significant impact on my mindset and thought process, specifically Alex Morton and his drive and ambition to impact as many lives as possible, Gary Vaynerchuck and his ability to have massive goals and the confidence to tell it like it is and not care what people think because at the end of the day God’s opinion is the only one that matters
