We had the good fortune of connecting with Tim Elinski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tim, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
We manufacture solar powered self contained micro campers which provide eco friendly camping solutions to the inefficient RVs on the market today. These teardrop style trailers are manufactured in a historic mining town in rural Arizona, providing manufacturing jobs to an area that has been underserved for generations.

What should our readers know about your business?
We manufacture solar powered and self contained teardrop style travel trailers from within a 115 year old repurposed historic structure in a rural Arizona mining community hardly anyone has heard about. We choose to be off the beaten path because we are passionate about providing jobs and opportunity to underserved communities. While this has not been easy from a production standpoint, manufacturing world class trailers in a community of population 1500 brings a sense of pride to this community and we believe sets a model for other businesses that it’s not always about the bottom line. A business can have a greater purpose than just profit, and can play a role in revitalizing a community, or redefining an industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We manufacture Pin Drop Travel Trailers in the heart of the Copper Corridor of Arizona. This area contains some of the most rugged beauty found in the southwest. A short drive (preferably with a PinDrop in tow) will take you to ancient cliff dwellings, canyon lakes, remote rivers to kayak and forested peaks to hike. In town, some of the finest Mexican food awaits, museums help paint the picture of the Copper Corridor’s history, from Apache holdouts to miners and ranchers to the state’s first territorial and woman governor, George Hunt and Rose Mofford, both called Globe home. Some of the most unique historic neighborhoods are found throughout the smattering of towns along the Copper Corridor, and the generational businesses in each downtown district are well worth the visit.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My encouragement comes from my hard working and supportive wife Ruth Ellen and my two creative and adventurous daughters. They were the team that first product tested the prototype, provided feedback and inspiration and gave me the motivation to design a better travel trailer to fuel our outdoor camping adventures in a way that supports environmental stewardship.
