We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Copenhaver-Heath and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyler, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Glaive has a significant social impact by empowering small businesses, which are often considered the backbone of the economy. Here’s how Glaive contributes positively to the community and the world:
Economic Empowerment: By providing free workspaces, expert assistance, and resources for small business owners, Glaive helps lower the barriers to entry for starting and sustaining a business. This empowerment leads to job creation, community development, and economic growth.
Education and Training: Through its free training sessions and seminars, Glaive educates entrepreneurs on vital aspects of business management, such as legal compliance, financial literacy, and digital skills. This knowledge not only helps individuals run their businesses more effectively but also increases their overall economic resilience.
Technological Advancement: By developing technology that aids small businesses on a larger scale, Glaive facilitates access to tools that might otherwise be unavailable to these businesses due to cost or complexity. This can lead to innovation and increased competitiveness in the global market.
Community Building: Glaive’s approach fosters a sense of community among small business owners. By bringing entrepreneurs together in shared spaces and through workshops, it helps build networks that can lead to collaborative opportunities and mutual support.
Sustainability: Educating and supporting small businesses in adopting sustainable practices can have a broader environmental impact. As these businesses grow, their ability to contribute to sustainable economic development increases.
By focusing on these areas, Glaive not only helps individual businesses thrive but also contributes to the broader social fabric and economic health of the communities it serves.
What should our readers know about your business?
Glaive stands out as a transformative force for small businesses by providing crucial support and resources that are often inaccessible for many entrepreneurs. What sets us apart is our commitment to the principle of “teaching someone to fish” rather than just giving them the fish. We offer free workspaces, expert guidance on foundational business needs like LLC filing and accounting, and tech-driven solutions that scale from individual assistance to broader support.
I’m particularly proud of our ability to democratize business support, making it available to anyone who needs it, anytime. This has cultivated a community of empowered business owners who are equipped not just to succeed, but to thrive and contribute positively to their communities.
Starting out by bootstrapping businesses with almost no help or resources, I was determined to make it easier for others—not the work itself, but demystifying the process and cutting through the red tape that often surrounds starting and running a business. The journey to where Glaive is today wasn’t easy. Bootstrapping the operation, facing the usual hurdles of funding, and scaling the services to meet diverse needs were significant challenges.
I want the world to know that Glaive is more than a business—it’s a movement dedicated to empowering the underdog and catalyzing significant, sustainable change. Our story is about building a legacy of empowerment and innovation, creating a world where every small business owner has access to the tools they need to succeed.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I might not be the best tour guide since I’m usually swamped with work and only make time for workouts. However, I do have a couple of favorite burger spots that I swear by—Zinburger and Burger Rehab. For anyone visiting from afar, I’d definitely recommend seeing Sedona, the Grand Canyon, and the unique desert beauty of Arizona. It’s a landscape unlike any other in the world and not to be missed.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
