Meet Unisa Kamara | Motivational speakers/Global Youth advocate

We had the good fortune of connecting with Unisa Kamara and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Unisa, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Good afternoon Arizona Magazine,
Risk taking has a downside as well as a positive to it, many of life’s
most significant accomplishments need venturing outside of our comfort
zone. Whether it’s overcoming nervousness to perform onstage such as
myself being a motivational speaker, spending money to help your
business develop which I did as i’m an entrepreneur, or putting yourself
out there for the opportunity to discover love, taking chances may lead
to some of life’s most gratifying experiences.
However, many of us struggle to deal with the uncertainty that comes
with taking chances. Uncertainty stems from not knowing what will happen
and the dread of failing. What if I make a fool of myself in front of
everyone? What if I lose all I’ve invested? What if I open my heart and
get turned down? What if I’m not up to the task?
All these questions have an answer, whether good or bad there is always
an answer. A risk in my opinion is to learn from the mistakes from
investing money, relationships, performing on stage etc. Many people
have a negative attitude toward failure, although it may be a valuable
tool for character development. We become stronger and more resilient as
a result of our failures. People who fail frequently acquire
perseverance in the face of adversity.
The common quote “Learn from your mistakes” comes from someone that has
failed multiple times but who eventually succeeds. I have personally
experienced taking many risks in my lifetime as I have Two businesses.
Owning a business can cause a lot of stress, failure but most
importantly success, this is where I learnt to overcome fear, risk to
gain a great reward which is CONFIDENCE. I had to overcome fear in order
to become the man I am today, speaking publicly is a fear many people
despise due to causing embarrassment, stuttering, feeling like people
don’t have interest in you. My role as a motivational speaker has helped
me enhance the confidence that I need.
The main aspect that I’ve learned is that when you take a risk in order
to accomplish a goal, you need the bravery to confront the dread of
uncertainty. We develop through the process, regardless of the outcome,
and become more robust and confident. Even better, developing such
abilities allows you to take greater risks and increase your chances of
reaching your future goals.
Yours sincerely,
Unisa kamara
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Building a business has never been an easy task, but, with the right mindset, it can be accomplished. Being consistent and persistent are some of the remedies that one has to utilize in constructing a business. Strategic planning and executing are part of elements required. Are there possibilities of failure, yes. Understanding supply and demand, wants and needs should be part of the objective. Building my first business was very challenging, not having the guidance. I had one thing to my advantage, which was resilience. Knowing that nothing was going to be given to me and the awareness of hardware, intrigued day and night.
In essence, risks are taken everyday, look at those risks as an investment in self. Understanding if future paving
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
