Meet Wendy Burkhard | Holistic Living Mom & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Wendy Burkhard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Wendy, what inspires you?
Inspiration is fueled by my fire and deep desire to heal humanity.
We have endured a long journey of being fed what we think is good health, good food, good practices for maintaining a healthy life.
Unfortunately, we have been misled.
Diving deep into discovering what is real and what our body, mind and souls need – has prepared me for raising my special daughter and for myself as caregiver.
The breathe is my inspiration.
It is the most important pillar within our body temple that builds light allowing us to maintain balance and spiritual growth.
Being present to our breathing, we can take each step in our day to day living, consciously, mindfully and gracefully.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love working with people who want to expand and grow in life. In all my work life experience, I love to be a resource and listen to what matters to people and then point them in the direction for fulfilling their heart’s desire. As a caretaker for my special needs daughter, I know what it takes to fill my cup first, and that is what I teach others to do – in order to create balance and really get clear about what it is that people want. My coaching is always a reflection of how I live my life and when someone asks me how I do it, how I keep such a calm and peaceful demeanor and at the same time be productive and contribute to society – I begin to ask them the key questions that stir up their heart’s desire. To overcome any challenge, I sit with Spirit in meditation. This is a gift. When I can be still and go within, I can dissolve any and all suffering. In my experience, when we stop rushing and slow down, we have an opportunity to be present, in each moment of our lives. This is where we have an opportunity to gain insight, seeing things we wouldn’t normally see.
Peace is possible for humanity but first we must break free from the separation consciousness and the victim consciousness. We need to embrace the changing world, create new systems, own our freedoms and love one another. We must evolve and transmute into our highest potential as spiritual beings!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When my best friend comes to visit, we will go to Sedona for a girls treat. We will stay a beautiful Air BB and hike Cathedral Rock and spend some time meditating on the spire. We will have lunch and then visit the Chapel in the Hill. We may even spend some sacred time at the Sedonya Center with friends and share some memorable photos.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
At this time, I would like to shout out to Dr. Joshua K, Darnall, author of Know Thyself: The 7 Dimensions of Wellness.
His teachings, mentorship and love has caused a massive ripple in my life and in the world at large.
There is no turning back now.
The wisdom and practices are imbedded in my life, forever.
We are only as powerful as our connection to Spirit is, and so it is.
Amen.
