We had the good fortune of connecting with Yann Sainville and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yann, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
What makes me happy is doing things I like doing without being stressed about it, which are shooting music videos by providing content for the artist and see then being excited about what I made for them or go to car meets with my friends because I’m a car guy always love cars and cruise around town.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a videographer out in the great state of Alaska mainly located in Anchorage. I would say what I’m most proud and excited about is help the artist in my city get a exposure from out of state by providing them with good content because Anchorage is small and when people think of Alaska they think of polar bears and igloos and snow all year around but we have talent here and I’m excited I’m in a position to help them out with my craft. I got to where I’m at today by just trying things out it wasn’t easy but also not hard to get where I’m currently at right now I say it was hard because I already had experience editing videos and shooting them for myself when I used to vlog and do YouTube content so the transition was pretty easy to do from editing vlogs and reaction video to music videos. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is don’t be afraid of criticism and there’s always room for improvement. What want the world to know about my brand is I love what I do and if I could do it for the next 10-15 years would be a blessing but I’m focusing on one day at the time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d say if I had a friend coming to Alaska for a week we’d definitely go see the glacier and do some hiking, and spot to eat 49th state restaurant and moose’s tooth pizza both spots make there own brew house beer and there pretty nice, and if there big on outdoor activity probably take them to Seward for finishing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would say the biggest shoutout would number go to God because he got me in this position and my mother if it wasn’t for her reconnecting with her sister I wouldn’t be in the position where i am today, also my brother Chidi for always pushing me to be the best version of myself, and all my people and family.
