We had the good fortune of connecting with Yuri Tirrito and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yuri, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We wanted to become a destination where people can come to enjoy good food and drinks, learn about how to be good stewards of the land and enjoy the beautiful of the Southwest while supporting local farmers and the community around us.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Probably more then ever, the world is very stressful so we wanted to create a place where people can forget about those stresses for a while. Farm life may not sound very exciting but when people start interacting with animals is like connecting with something that you didn’t even know it was important.

Every creature on our farm has a role, from a 1,500lb cow to a .00025lb bee, they all play an important part and  give us the opportunity to supply the area and our restaurant with amazing products like milk, cheese, honey etc.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Depending on interest and season. We have the National Chiricahua monument open all year long. Willcox has 2 festival seasons in the spring and fall and the Willcox wine festival has been on the top 10th Wine festivals in North America.
Wings over Willcox  has a festival over MLK weekend the thousands of SandHill Cranes come to the valley to spend all winter, and Spring
Apple Annies Orchard opens July through October
There are also many other small towns with great history in the area like Tombstone and Bisbee..

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

Salvatore Tirrito (Owner/Husband)

The dream was mine (Yuri Tirrito), but my husband, Salvatore Tirrito, a Cardiologist who has been in practice in Tucson Az for more than 18 years, works hard every day to make this dream possible.

Everything started on 2016 with the purchase of 80 acres in the Sulphur Springs Valley in Willcox Arizona, well-known for having my great vineyards  (74% of the grapes for Arizonan Wines comes from Willcox area) and Wine producers.

We wanted to bring something new to the area so we built a destination with a 25,000 square foot space that includes Willcox’s only microbrewery  along with a dairy, creamery, restaurant, event center, wine tasting, farm store, casitas and more.
