When I think about risk, I think about opportunities. The decision to take a risk is to leap into the next chapter of your life, shaping your destiny. One of the biggest risks I took was when I was 23 and packed up my 1 year old daughter to fly across the world to meet my father’s side of the family in Botswana for the first time. It was a huge risk to go to Africa for 3 months with a new baby, having no idea if we would be accepted, or what the lifestyle was like, but I listened to my heart and felt it was worth the risk.
