Parenting is an incredibly important responsibility and so we wanted to get a conversation going with input from parents in the community. We asked them: what is the most important thing you’ve done as a parent? We’ve highlighted some of the responses below.

I love being a parent. I have two children of my own, Jack (age 4) and Charlie Rose (age 2). I also have one bonus child, Ricky (age 16). I started my business prior to having my own children and since having children I’ve done my best to juggle it all. I am a full-time mompreneur working from home and trying to balance my time between my kiddos and my business. It has always been important for me to not only teach them but show them the importance of hard work and quality family time. I can easily involve them in many of my daily business tasks such as washing paint brushes, organizing supplies, and folding aprons. Read more>>

Put them first!!!! I have 3 boys and even though I have always been a hard worker and maybe sometimes busy in their eyes every little thing I do and thought I have revolves around them! I was a teen mom but from the moment I had my first child that was my first priority! I work hard to give them things and experience things I was never able to. My boys are amazing young men and make me proud all the time which lets me know I did something right! Any success I have is because of them the drive I have for them and to show them they can do anything they put their mind to! Read more>>

As a father of two daughters, I feel like everything I do has some impact on them. My work primarily occurs online and on the computer, so that’s where I’m stationed most of my day. The most important thing I’ve done in terms of an impact is to try to demonstrate that while a strong work ethic is great to have, there’s also plenty of times and opportunity for fun. I know I have an ideal situation where I can be home more than others, but I could easily lock myself away in my office all day. Read more>>

I am a dog mom! My kids are a 13 year old pit mix named Knuckles and x2 1.5 year old Staffies named Luna and Lily (@two.blind.pups) My little girls were born blind and left in a box by the side of the road in El Paso, Texas where they were picked up by animal control. A local AZ rescue, Mayday Pit Bull Rescue, stepped in and we became their foster parents then adopted them. They are amazing and have taught me PATIENCE. I have worked with them since day 1 to function just like regular dogs – they play, run, love baths and help me carry in groceries and they LISTEN! Read more>>
