Happiness is everything. Where there is happiness, everything else is possible and so we asked the community to tell us what makes them happy.

We love this question! Lots of things make us happy but there are two that top our list every day: preparing healthy, delicious food and being with the people we love. We’re sisters who come from a very large family where both our parents loved cooking. The heart of the house was always the kitchen where there was an abundance of good food, companionship and laughter! Read more>>

As I sit down to write this and really think about it there are many things that make me happy. I’m happy when my dog is excited to see me, I’m happy when I’m baking a pie and the crust turns out perfectly, I’m happy when I make someone smile and I’m happy when I can see that I’ve made a positive impact on the world. I could go on but I think you get the gist. I think ultimately. I’m happiest when I’m making someone else happy. As for the why, I don’t know if I can truly answer that. There is nothing better or more rewarding than making someone else happy. Read more>>

Creating space makes me happy. Space for expression & for talented people from all backgrounds, in all mediums to show up as they are. Space to leverage our voices, to dream, to collaborate, to show up authentically. Connecting creatives and seeing collaborations come out of those connections is a thrill. I’m passionate about cultivating our local art scene, about being a gallery that is not traditional to our area, about taking risks, and allowing the art we show to be subversive. Seeing my friends succeed without compromising makes me happy. Being there for them when they need to be reminded of what badasses they are makes me happy. Honestly, because I can’t think of a better way to spend this one odd and precious life. Read more>>

This question really took all the ones before it and put them together. I was NOT happy, which is exactly why I chose to start a business creating retreats. Toward the end of 2020, I needed my own retreat desperately, and I knew I couldn’t be the only one. I needed to attend an event with other people and learn about myself, learn modalities that I could use when I wasn’t feeling all together, and take those back to my every day life. Read more>>

As cliche as it may seem these days, travel really makes me happy. My first trip to Haiti really opened my eyes to what we are missing when keep our feet planted in one spot for much of our life. I absolutely enjoy being immersed in different cultures, meeting new people and taking on life’s adventure. Travel also makes me feel closer to God. I get this feeling that God is showing me that we are mere microcosms of the variations and beauty that we see in the world. It makes me appreciate life. Read more>>

True happiness only comes from God. Since we have been here in Arizona, we have gone through a process of being directed by God to obey Him in all things, particularly in our gifts, talents, and careers. Throughout this process, we have found that we are most happy when we are in alignment with our God given purpose, which is our call from God, placed on our lives. We are happy to serve God, and through His grace we have been tasked to serve Him, by ministering to others at His command, through sharing God’s testimony, revelation, and truth. Read more>>
