Why they do what they do

We asked some of the city’s leading artists and creatives to tell us about how they decided to pursue an artistic or creative career. We’ve shared some highlights below.

I pursued a creative career because I knew I didn’t want to be strapped to a desk or a cubicle. I am such a people person and I love being out in the community. On weekends, you’ll usually find me at a farmers market or antique shopping at many local places. By working in community journalism, I am constantly meeting people who have great stories to tell.
