After 17 years in the classroom and raising four kids, I took a leap at 38 and pursued my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. I know what it feels like to stand at the edge of change—uncertain, scared, and wondering if the risk is worth it. And I also know the exhilaration of stepping into your truth and finding your footing, even through the inevitable stumbles. Read More>>

The most important factor behind the success of Grateful Hearts is definitely a supportive family and the people you surround yourself with. This rescue would not exist without the fosters and volunteers that dedicate their love, time and energy to the kitties in our organization. They are the backbone of who we are. If I call and ask them to stretch to make room to save more lives they do it without hesitation. I also have a pretty amazing family. They support any crazy idea I want to do. They are always helping whether it be opening up their rooms to intake emergency kitties that need help, covering the store when I need it, thinking of creative ways to help or support me when that compassion fatigue sets in. People are important, everyone has value. It’s important that we treat each other with respect and kindness, including ourselves. Even with all this technology, at the end of the day, it all comes down to people and the relationships you have with them. How you treat each other, who you know, how you can connect, how you can help each other. We are passionate about working together with other businesses, helping each other grow, learning about everyone’s strengths and what they have to offer. Read More>>

There have been times in my life when I’ve faced off with people who do anything to get their way; lie, cheat, steal, and devalue others. It’s easy to lose yourself and your values under these circumstances, but one principle I refuse to let go is being a person of my word. Truly, the most offensive insult you could throw at me is ‘liar,’ especially when I’ve consistently proven the opposite through actions that align with my promises. I feel so strongly about this that I once ended a close relationship after they falsely accused me of lying without a shred of proof, and purely for their own gain. Read More>>

I am originally from Denver, Colorado, and moved to Scottsdale in 2002. Growing up in Denver instilled in me an appreciation for nature, craftsmanship, and the value of creating things that last. Surrounded by the mountains and a culture that respects hard work and authenticity, I developed an eye for detail and a deep respect for materials, qualities that continue to guide me today. Growing up I’ve been fascinated with music overall as an art. Starting piano when I was 4, I was immersed with classical and romantic tunes which eventually evolved into popular music around me including pop, hip hop, and rnb. Fast forward years on afterwards and experimenting with music that ranges from rock bands like Nirvana to hip hop artists like Kendrick Lamar I decided to take my try at starting my own project. Initially, music production was meant to be supplemental to my goal of creating hip hop and rnb tracks, but once I was introduced to the dance music sphere it evolved into a much more expressive take on the art.  Read More>>
