We had the good fortune of connecting with James Wesolaski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi James, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Thought process behind starting my own business. That is a good one and great eye opener over the years. One of the may reasons was that i felt like i was running everything for my previous employer. Told myself i can do this on my own and make more money. As time went by i realized that i was not doing everything. There are so many behind the scenes task that make a company flow which i later had to learn or find the right person to hire.

What should our readers know about your business?
Started out in 2015 as a side gig doing electrical and holiday lighting in the christmas season. 2017 went full time focusing on taking care of customers. 2021 GET LIT became a registered trademark thru the USPTO. Also trademarked the GET LIT mascot, Mr. Getchu Litt which is used in advertising and safety videos. I have got to where we are today by simply staying consistent and rolling with the punches on the roller coaster ride of business. Starting a business is not for the faint of heart. Most of the challenges i have had over the years ive been able navigate by having the right relationships with other business owners that i was able to get advice from to make it through storms. What do i want the world to know, Is that Everyday is a Great Day to GET LIT!!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would probably take them to eat at Aztecas and then take a cruise up to the Bradshaw mountains thru cleator and Crown King.

Scott Evans was a great man to encourage me to start GET LIT. The name and idea actually came from him.
