We had the good fortune of connecting with Ramneek Mathur and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ramneek, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
There came a moment in my career where I realized, we are all “self-employed”. Even when we are working for a larger firm or company, we are in negotiation for ourselves and the value we can bring to the organization. When you think of the self-employed career path, the term “organization” is simply replaced with “market”. Once I had this mental unlock. It was less intimidating for me to imagine what it would be like if I created my own company. The key would have been for me to consistently deliver value and insight in whatever I decided to pursue. If I could do that, I was in business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I was fortunate to experience, early in my life, the intrinsic value in helping others. From that moment forward, I promised myself I would find a way to make a living out of this experience. With this commitment, coupled with various succeeding life experiences sourcing from around the world, I came to discover a stark and potent fact about reality; everything affects everything. This reality set the stage for who I had to become to have any chance at helping people the way I envisioned. To be successful, I needed more experiences. I had to fail and fail quickly. I needed to understand the nuances and the valuable dynamics within professional and personal ecosystems to properly advocate for my clients. I had to become more. And this drive is what fuels my work to this day. Everyday I strive to help my clients create, develop and pursue their professional and personal goals and vision. Over 15 years in the making, my work has enabled me to assist my clients in every facet of their lives, as needed. In my current capacity, I serve my clients in 3 ways. As an investment advisor, a real estate broker and a certified life coach.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I think the great thing about our city is the diversity of experiences that are available to us. I would definitely earmark some nice dinners around the Scottsdale Quarters area. Of course, a little night light scene would be fun as well – so we would definitely visit Old Town Scottsdale and check out some fun bar concepts in that area as well. During the day it would be great to also visit the local shopping scene, including Fashion Square Mall. However, no trip is fully complete without some outdoor experiences; perhaps some hiking and sightseeing in Sedona.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My parents are the first set of people that come to mind; they have always been a motivating source of energy in my story. Through their efforts, I was able to foster a sense of humility, confidence and drive. The second set of people that come to mind for me are my wife and two kids. They day in and day out, without even knowing it, inspire me to reach higher. I wish to give back to all of them what they’ve already given me; that will be a life well lived.
