Meet Tyler Ann | Digital Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyler Ann and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tyler Ann, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Growing up I always knew I wasn’t gonna have a regular job, nor did I want one… I’ve always been a creative kid, It just took me awhile to realize what field I really wanted to explore. My whole life I surrounded it by music and once I reached high school I fell in love with photography but I also still focused on my musical aspirations like wanting to become a singer. I realized by my senior year of high school I wanted to be a photographer, I want to be able to work with musicians, actors, and etc. I just love working with creative people and collaborating with others! Photography overall just makes me happy, I love seeing the end result of a vision I once had and for it to come to fruition!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a fresh high school graduate and i’m still growing my platform! I’ve always been scared to post on social media because well I hate it. But I started to realize that I only live once and I want to leave my mark in this world! I myself am still trying to figure out my style. I guess all I can really say about my photography is I love capturing some of life’s simple moments or capturing and creating a short story to tell. One thing I will say is just because everyone else is doing it doesn’t mean you have to too. Why be like everyone else you know? I enjoy being different as well as keeping a formula if that makes sense. One thing about me is my mind gets crazy ideas from time to time and I never really did anything about it, but I wanna change that from here on out.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m pretty introverted to say the least but if I were to show some people around I would definitely take them to get coffee or tea from blackrock most likely! Then a nice lunch in downtown chandler probably at Crust which is one of my favorite restaurants! After that maybe a movie, just something to wind down after a big meal! Then end the night off at Bowlero in Gilbert because I like to think that i’m good at bowling.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to thank my high school photography teacher Reene Clancy for showing me a glimpse of my future! I am so beyond grateful to have been able to learn from you! And a huge thanks to my mom and my dad for always pushing me to be successful no matter what!
