“Today, I am as happy as a bird with a french fry.” It’s a silly quote, but it’s one I have always loved. it reminds me of when I first started baking, when there was no Bop. All I had was my pinterest page, an ancient kitchen aid mixer, and a soul eager to conquer the perfect batch of chocolate chip cookies.. I’d spend hours in the kitchen making messes left and right, tweaking this, adding more of that. It was a simple, pure joy that made my heart full. Those moments were enough for me. I didn’t need a following, I wasn’t interested in building a business. I didn’t want any of it. All I wanted was to make cookies. Yes I do: “No excuses. No complaints. Only Adjustments.” This quote came to mind when I was at a difficult place in my life. I like this quote because no matter what I’m facing, no matter how insurmountable it seems, this quote always places me in the right frame of mind to move forward and face any challenge. Read more>>

Meaning whoever you desire to be, you can be. What matters is what you believe, how you feel, and hold as true. Read more>>

When we started the planning for Here Here Market, one of my early mentors told me “comfort and growth don’t co-exist” and it resonates with me every day. Whenever I am uncomfortable or filled with self-doubt about pitching to a new client that might be entirely too big for us to service or making a large bet on the company’s direction that could have long lasting effects on our financial health, I remind myself that the pit in my stomach and sweaty armpits are a sign of MY (and our business’) growth.
