We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Lyle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alex, how does your business help the community?
I dont think I will be the one to necessarily change the world, but my hopes are my music will spark the idea or be an influence to the ones who will.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets me apart form others in my craft would be my experience prior to getting into music production and engineering, I started playing the guitar at an early age and traveled to other cities playing shows at 13. I self taught my self how to play to everything was matched by ear which anyone can learn how to read music and do certain things in engineering but I think you have to be born with a musicians ear, so everything else is obtainable – knowledge wise.

I think im most proud of just continuing on my journey and releasing art thats true to me, other than that getting booked for gem and jam (my favorite Arizona festival) im most excited for as its my first festival set.

I got where I am today by honestly never stopping, and really being in love with what Im doing, was it easy, not by any means and I have so much more work to do, but I guess how I overcame challenges was really by looking in rather than searching for answers anywhere besides myself I think one of an artists biggest challenges is staying confident in their work and pushing the “writers block” and trusting the process.

what I want people to know about my brand and story is that im just being authentically me and showing some of my most vulnerable sides by sharing my music, and I hope it inspires others to be fluid within their selves and own it and not be afraid of it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Shady park forsure, its the best venue in phoenix and absolutely has the best artist bookings in my opinion. The ramen is also to die for! I really enjoy going to the lakes around the the area, particularly canyon lake for cliff jumping. Heading up north to Sedona and flagstaff is always a move to get away from the city and really embrace the beauty Arizona does have.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My first and I think most important shoutout goes to my amazing girlfriend, Lauren rice. She has supported e from day 1 and always made sure I am confident in my work even when others around may not show their support for what I do. Harrison and Anthony of Smoakland for really being the inspiration to move forward in my music career and take on all the challenges the industry brings, showing me the ropes of mixing and constantly giving amazing feedback on projects good and bad. My team digital syndicate Adam and Zach have recently started supporting my journey but have been an amazing crew to work with and move forward with our vision. Jason for mentioning me to even be apart for this interview. Last but not least all my listeners anyone who has shared my music, came to a show I really wouldn’t be where I am without any of them and thats the truth.
